I got to participate in my first Twitter Chat tonight. I participated with #ellchat. We talked about what schools were doing in terms of changing the curriculum and testing for ELL students and just students in general. Some teachers were talking about how their districts had changed to a pass/ fail for students. Also one of the teachers mentioned how her school assignments for the students have changed to just being graded on completeness. I asked her if she found that her students motivation was down. She said no, and if their motivation or completion of coursework decreased then she would reach out to them and see if they needed help. Overall for testing it seems that most of the schools have decided to not do the tests this year and try to make it up next year. Most of the twitter chat was just sharing what peoples school districts were doing during this time.
