Story Jumper is a free website that can be used to create books. It allows you to upload your own pictures or use their already existing backgrounds and props to illustrate your story. You can place text boxes, and then change the font, its size, and its color. Once you are done with the book you can even publish the story and print an actual copy of the book from the website. It also lets you copy a link to a digital copy of the book. I think this would be a great resource for an ELA class, for example, the students could use it to create their own stories.

I used Story Jumper to create a first and second-grader math story with illustrations. The book, Sweet Friendship, is about double-digit addition. I found Story Jumper to be very easy to use and I really appreciated the ability to upload my own pictures to the book. I would have appreciated a little more variety in props and backgrounds for the illustrations but overall I enjoyed using Story Jumper.
