Google for Education: Unit 3

UNIT 3: HAVE A MOSTLY PAPERLESS CLASSROOM

Teachers who are trying to get away from using lots of paper can use Google Drive to store and share their files. Google offers tools like Forms, Drive, Classroom, Slides, Docs, Drawings and Sheets to help move away from using paper. Google Drive can automatically upload and save to the Cloud. Google Drive can be accessed offline even. Google Drive also allows educators to share documents and collaborate on projects with other people. Any type of file can be saved into Google Drive, and it can be organized into folders. With the Google Suit tools the documents can be accessed offline, automatically save, and can be collaborated on. Cloud storage also saves the files automatically so even if the computer crashes it will still be saved. Cloud Storage allows people to store and upload files without the need of a USB or other devices. Files can be accessed by signing into the account on any device.

Google Classroom can also be useful in creating online assignments and keeping track of them. Teachers can use Google Forms to create quick assessments for their students. They can be used as a way to start or end class and can foster collaboration if the teacher allows the students to work together. Students can use Google Forms to create surveys and collect data for projects.
