UNIT 13: PROMOTE DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP AND POSITIVE ONLINE BEHAVIOR
As the digital world grows and more and more students are spending increasing time on it teachers should be working to teach students to be careful with their personal information and to be respectful of others online. Students should come up with strong and memorable passwords. Turning phrases that the students know into passwords can be a good way for students to remember the password. Teaching students to be mindful of and be able to identify scammers and scams that may popup on their accounts is also an important lesson. Teaching students about how they leave behind a digital footprint and how they want that footprint to be positive. So students need to be mindful of what they are saying or posting online, making sure that it is appropriate. There is a great resource to help Manage your digital footprint. https://www.fosi.org/good-digital-parenting/digital-reputation-checklist/
